Widely known Bengali dish which is a mildly bitter-sweet pungent, milk added stew of vegetables made with assorted vegetables like bitter gourd, sweet potato, raw banana, French beans, drum sticks, brinjal etc and addition of fried dried lentil dumplings( Bori) gives a distinct aroma. Tempered in mustard oil with Bengali five spice ( Paanch phoron), radhuni spice, ginger paste, green chilli and some amount of ghee. Well goes with steamed rice.
